The great room remodel of 2010

dun dun duuuuuunnnn....

Yes. I will *hopefully* survive this one. For the next week or so, I'll be posting pictures. Before, after, before and after, and intermediate pictures will be seen for you to gasp at and be amazed. I'll probably also be filling you in on what I'm doing for furniture and decorations, because the only things i KNOW will be in there are my bed, my dresser, my craft table, and my wall-mount shelves. Not much, I know. (and I DO need a desk... hmph. gotta find one. maybe a corner desk? *mumble mumble*)

So today I took pictures. Then I realized that my SD card didn't save them, and I lost the cord to my camera somewhere in one of the many boxes. which I didn't go through when I was packing, so I have a lot of junk I'm going to get rid of mixed in with the stuff I'm putting back in my room. *sigh* SO I'll be putting up pictures tomorrow. hopefully. maybe? I don't know.

One book to rule them all, one glue to bind them

I bet you can guess what I'm reading now! Yes! That's right! The Fellowship of the Ring. Woot. The fellowship is the book I have to read for my required summer reading for English II Advanced Honors, and I'm going to be taking a connections test.
"but what's a connections test?"
A connections test is a written test where you connect five characters/items/places.
The format:
1-2
2-3
3-4
4-5
5-1
simple, only five connections. but the tough part is, it's graded based on the teacher's opinion on your comparisons and whether or not you use metaphors and similes. It's a tough test.

Thankfully, when I finish the book, I'll be able to head on to different books, like Blue Moon: The ImmortalsThe More Than Complete Hitchhiker's Guide: Complete and UnabridgedThe Bar Code Tattoo and Bar Code RebellionStargirlMidnighters #1: The Secret HourElsewhere, and The Green Mile : The Complete Serial Novel. You may be thinking, "Gosh, that's a lot of books! That must take you forever to read!" but really, it'll only take me a few weeks.

Drumroll please.....

*drumroll* I made CHAMBER CHOIR. Forgot to tell you, and I felt a little guilty, but now you know :D Aren't you lucky? Yes, you are.

But aside from that....

I'm looking further into these time-wasting adoption and evolution sites. I've gotten more squiby eggs, and opened a dragon cave account and have gotten some eggs. I also opened a UniCreatures account and got myself some critters O3O They are so cute:)

Check out my pages and clicky the eggs:)

Magistream and other funky egg thingies!

So right now I'm at Artemis's  house (yes- not even being away from my computer will stop me from ranting at you!) and she introduced me to some awesome egg growy thingies on magistream.com. Soon she shall be forcing me to look into squiby.net , dragcave.net and unicreatures.com. I've never done anything like this before, so it'll be a new experience, and something more to blog about.

here are my cute little egg babies!

I'll post my keep to the side for your clicking pleasures:)

So APPARENTLY Artemis doesn't remember the muppets too too well. It's a good thing for youtube, eh? (I'm SO Canadian. No, really, I am.) Here are some of the awesomest videos we've seen today:

The Muppets Ode to Joy

The Muppets Bohemian Rhapsody

love them? click on them and post and subscribe to the people who originally posted the videos!

The Sims 2

So I've been having trouble installing my Sims 2 game (the basic one, not the expansions) onto my new computer. The disk isn't scratched too badly- with maybe one or two tiny squiggles- but nothing too extreme, and nothing I haven't dealt with before. It keeps stopping at 94%, where it's installing component N0010 in neighborhood 3. So I have come to the almighty decision: to buy either a new copy of The Sims 2, or just skip ahead to the next generation and get The Sims 3, and maybe one or two expansion packs. (And I think that is all there is at the moment!)

The expansion packs I have for The Sims 2 now are:

The Sims 2 Seasons Expansion Pack
The Sims 2: Open for Business Expansion Pack
The Sims 2 Pets Expansion PackThe Sims 2 Seasons Expansion Pack
The Sims 2: Nightlife Expansion Pack
The Sims 2 H&M Fashion Stuff

Yeah, it's a nice collection, and I really enjoy playing the games. But as I said, it's hard to play the expansions when you can't install the basics. And right now, it's getting fairly complicated and frustrating, because so far it's now at 0%. UGH. D:< So here is what I'm probably going to do, since I've been thinking this over by typing it out :/

I'm going to:

then buy the expansion packs:

'Don't shed a tear for me...'

'...for I am the symbol of our country's power and faith, and soon you will see me flying again, my colors anew.'

Yeah, I attended a flag retiring ceremony last night for a girl scout IP (intrest project) I could earn- a perfect one for our theme this year too- Star Spangled Summer. Although the ceremony is not meant to be depressing, and only a symbol of our love towards our flag, I sobbed. Maybe it was the fact that my sister talked so calmly, or maybe it was the fact that the flag (in the script) told me not to. I did. And even though I cried I would never trade that experience for the world. It was an amazing ceremony, and extremely thoughtful. I loved it.

I have new little bunny and birdie friends:) they are so adorable, and I will be so sad to see them off.... *3* but I love them!

My little bunny friends. How many can you count? I saw 4!
The... *prettier* pic of my friends. they are older now and about to leave the nest. the third one is below them... XD
My friends in the scariest stage of their life. they almost look like something from The Dark Crystal. What an awesome movie.

Day Camp *v* and walk-it day

Yesterday (Sat, June 5) was the set-up day for day camp :3 I love my unit leaders this year, and the P.A. I get to watch (she's fresh meat in the P.A. world- I'm a second year). She's super spunky and talks a lot- just like me :)

This is what our shirts look like:

Super cute, I know :3 If you can't tell, the theme is "star-spangled summer"

The darned chiggers are bad in the area I'm stationed (I'm in the fourth grade unit this year, but since they didn't mow our area, we decided to use part of the 3rd grade space- we're really short on girls this year), so I'm going to wear knee-high socks each day and spray them down with bug spray so they don't get in around my ankles. They are nasty little beasts of nature. ugh.

Weight watchers walk-it day is today, and so I'm going to walk the Greenway here in the 'Boro! It'll be super fun, and I'll be using my ipod. Yay! *v*

berets o3o

I want a Beret. It would make for an amazing accessory to wear when my troop and I go to Savannah, GA in July.

So I'm going to make a line of accessories for myself. I'm going to start with an old shirt and follow this guide : http://yale-eco-crafts.blogspot.com/2009/04/how-to-make-beret-out-of-old-shirt-or.html
Then I'm going to make matching accessories. Things that are beaded and from clay. And since we're going to be in Savannah for a week, it means I need SEVEN berets and matching accessories!

Lately I've been busier on etsy, and have posted a few more things and began a little idea: mestupets: little critters that come with cute adoption certificates.

1:41 PM

ah, graduation!

So.... I'm now officially a sophmore. and according to google, i can't spell. but whatever. Getting on with it....

I've been working with clay for a little less than a year now, and I'm getting halfway good with it. Graduation has just passed here, and will be happening next month up north, so I'm prepping some caps to sell on mestupmarionette.etsy.com

The ones i'll be selling pre-made are black with white tassles, and i'll be doing custom orders. sounds good to me, but whatever.

I don't have to take finals, woo hoo! So I'm sitting at home, doing nothing but making money and getting ready for my gs trip to Savannah, Georgia. I can't wait! It's so amazingly exciting!

2:49 PM

I'm on a boat :3

I'm on a boat! Yesterday was the freshman orientation for the rising freshmeat, er, freshman, and they did a balloon arch. So today the arch was mostly out of air, and there was one large helium balloon (star shaped of course- we ARE the Siegel Stars!) that was holding up one small section of the balloon arch- it so looked like a boat. We all got in it (the girl's gym class and one of the guys) and posed.. I'll probably have pictures tomorrow!

Love this video!

I'm really hoping I made chamber choir- I auditioned yesterday for next year's choir. If I make chamber, I automatically make the musical! So exciting!

Spanish class had awards for the end of the year. I, of course, got the muy artistica award, since I always go overboard on artistic projects... except the video one. but let's not bring that up.... O.o

6:59 PM

Our first and only show tonight- the marvelous loves!

What can I say? I'm a total circus act! I love color, and funny people... freaky crime shows like Fringe, drawing, singing, dancing, telling stories, eating candy.... yum :3 oh! smilies!

I have a lot of crazy friends, and would take a bullet for *most* of them. There are a few I'd take a bomb for. I love them.
